Maureen Taber

first walked through the doors of First Congregational Santa Rosa in May of 2012. Her daughter Charlotte was 3 at the time, and together they had been looking for a church family to call home. From the first visit, which concluded by helping disassemble the prize winning “Peace,Love, and Rock and Roll” Rose Parade float, they were hooked. The welcome Maureen experienced on the first day, and every day since, has been truly unconditional; a deep rooted expression of God’s love through service and connections. Just after joining the church, Maureen completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching and earned a Multiple-Subject teaching credential through the University of San Francisco. When it was time to set up her first classroom, her church family was there making binders and labels for student’s desks. In 2015 Maureen was blessed with the birth of her son Gabriel. Again, her church family supported her and her family with visits, gifts, soup, and love. Maureen has been excited to work in the church nursery since June of 2017. Both an opportunity to give back the love she has so generously been given, and to get to know the amazing little ones who bless our church on Sunday mornings. Maureen looks forward to sharing the pews again soon, but for now is truly grateful to be entrusted with the beautiful children of our church.
